Well, if you’re having trouble with mice, try this trick! Soak some cotton balls in peppermint oil, cayenne pepper, pepper or cloves - apparently mice can’t stand the smell. Place the cotton balls around areas where you’ve seen them and hopefully they’ll stay away.
